Kayak the Waterways of the Lower Cape
Time
: 1 to 4:30 p.m.      
Location: Chatham Maritime Days Paddle
Investigate different coastal habitats during these exceptional kayak tours that include kayak instruction and environmental education. Certified kayak instructor and coastal educator, Dick Hilmer will lead you through sheltered creeks, into bays and marshes, and towards islands rich in cultural history. During the three-hour coastal exploration, the certified guides of Explore Cape Cod Tours will provide professional instruction in easy to paddle, comfortable and stable tandem kayaks. Perfect for novice or experienced paddlers.  All equipment is provided. Saturday and Sunday price is $28 for adults and $20 for children 16 years of age or under. Tuesday and Friday paddles cost: $25/$18. Solo kayaks upon request.

Model Ship Show/Exhibit

Location: Briggs McDermott House, Sandwich Road, Bourne
Cost: $5 admission
An exceptional collection of intricately detailed hand-crafted model ships, presented by local ship model builders or repairers. Featured will be several fine Cape Cod cat boats, including the 52” long ‘Endeavor.”

Discover the sea-going scoundrels who infested the waters off Cape Cod in bygone times. Hear tales of treasures lost and found, and the story of Black Sam Bellamy and his Ship Whydah.

Tour of Plein Air Painters in Historic Bass River
Time: Late morning
Location: Cultural Center of Cape Cod, 307 Old Main St., South Yarmouth
A self-guided tour to view artists paintaining plain aire at beautiful sites along Bass River. Within walking distance or short drive from the Cultural Center.
