Kayak the Waterways of the Lower Cape Time: 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Location: Mother’s Day Paddle, Nauset Marsh Investigate different coastal habitats during these exceptional kayak tours that include kayak instruction and environmental education. Certified kayak instructor and coastal educator, Dick Hilmer will lead you through sheltered creeks, into bays and marshes, and towards islands rich in cultural history. During the three-hour coastal exploration, the certified guides of Explore Cape Cod Tours will provide professional instruction in easy to paddle, comfortable and stable tandem kayaks. Perfect for novice or experienced paddlers. All equipment is provided. Saturday and Sunday price is $28 for adults and $20 for children 16 years of age or under. Open House at Three Sisters Lighthouses Time: 1 to 3:30 p.m. Location: Park at Nauset Light Beach in Eastham, follow signs to the lighthouses These 19th century lighthouses once provided a beacon for sailors off the shore of Nauset Light Beach. Open House: Old Harbor Life-Saving Station Time: 1:30 to 4 p.m. Location: Old Harbor Life-Saving Station, Race Point Beach, Provincetown (park at Race Point Beach) Browse this 1898 Life Saving Station, where teams of skilled rescuers battled the elements to save shipwreck victims from the “Graveyard of the Atlantic.” Exhibits, recue equipment and stories bring this station to life.
