Cape Cod Maritime Museum presents "Waters of Cape Cod" exhibition

Historic Sarah sails and charters

Go back in time and book a sail on our museum built 1886 Crosby catboat replica Sarah!
Cost: Charters are 1 ½ hour $150; 3 hours $250 (6-person maximum) Scheduled Sails are $25 per adult 18 and over; $10 per child

Kayak the Waterways of the Lower Cape
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Location: The Islands in Little Pleasant Bay, Orleans
Explore the maritime past by paddling Cape Cod’s storied coastal waterways with local science teacher and longtime kayak guide, Dick Hilmer. Kayak instruction is included during these natural history tours. Paddle through sheltered creeks, into bays and marshes, and towards islands rich in cultural history. No experience is necessary. Perfect for novice or experienced paddlers. All equipment is provided including kayak, paddle, lifejacket and instruction – just bring a smile and a bottle of water, and $30 per person.

Master of the Sweet Trade: The Story of Pirate Sam Bellamy and the Ship Whydah
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Brooks Academy Museum, 80 Parallel Street, Harwich
Local author Elizabeth Moisan presents her book about Cape Cod’s famous pirate story, followed by a book signing.

Race Point Lighthouse Tours
Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: Race Point Lighthouse, Provincetown
In honor of the national Mariner's Weekend, Race Point Lighthouse will offer free tours of the Keeper's House, Lighthouse and Whistle House. The Keeper's House was restored to its' original 1950's-era beauty in 1997. Views from the top of the restored lighthouse are spectacular, and shouldn't be missed! Meet at the lower level of the Race Point Beach parking lot. There, our Suburbans will provide complimentary roundtrip transportation over a stunning two miles of sand to the lighthouse. Light refreshments will be provided at the Keeper's House. . The Race Point Lighthouse Gift Shop will also be open, offering a unique selection of Race Point Lighthouse memorabilia for sale.

Tours at Nauset Lighthouse

Location: Nauset Light, North Eastham
Guided tours of the lighthouse, open to the public. Please park in the Nauset Beach parking lot.
