Multimedia Presentation: The Piping Plover’s Plight

Location: Province Lands Visitor Center, Race Point Road, Provincetown
Cape Cod is an important nesting site for this federally-threatened bird. Come learn about piping plovers and what Cape Cod National Seashore is doing to protect them. After the presentation, caravan to the beach to try to observe plovers using a spotting scope and binoculars.

“Winslow Homer: Society & Solitude”

Location: Cultural Center of Cape Cod, 307 Old Main St., South Yarmout
A documentary by celebrated filmmaker Steve Ross about the life and work of American painter Winslow Homer. Introduction by Steven Ross; intermission with refreshments and a chance to meet the filmmaker.
