Location: Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center, Ed Moffitt Drive in Sandwich
Celebrate the reopening of the center by joining a Park Ranger for a 45-minute guided tour through the Visitor Center. Tours are offered at 11 and 2 p.m. Discover the history of the Canal and how the Corps ensures safe navigation through the waterway.. The Visitor Center also offers interactive displays and films about the Canal’s rich history, fascinating features and vigilant operation.

Walking Tour of Hyannis Waterfront

Barnstable historian Professor James Gould will lead a historical walk along the Lewis Bay waterfront, featuring ships & shipwrecks, Native American leaders, Naval skirmish of the War of 1812, Figawi race and more.
