Seashore Walk to Location of the Outermost House
Time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Starts at Doane Rock Picnic Area parking lot in the National Seashore, off Doane Road in Eastham
Three-mile round-trip walk (approximately three hours) led by a National Seashore Park Ranger to the approximate location of Henry Beston’s Outermost House on Nauset Beach. Wear appropriate footwear for walking in soft sand and bring water.

Slide Lecture: Old Harbor Station – The Life of a Life-Saving Station
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Province Lands Visitor Center, Race Point Road, Provincetown
Of Cape Cod’s 13 US Life-Saving Service Stations, only Old Harbor stands intact as a museum commemorating Cape Cod’s shoreline heroes. Life-Saving Service historian and author Richard G. Ryder (Old Harbor Station) tells tales and shows photos from the perspective of family history and personal experience.

Third Annual Cape Cod Canal Water & Boating Safety Day
Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center, US Coast Guard Station and Sandwich Marina, Ed Moffitt Drive in Sandwich
Get ready for a fun and safe summer by joining the US Army Corps of Engineers, US Coast Guard, the Massachusetts State and Environmental Police, and others for a day full of water and boating safety activities for all ages. The event will include games for kids, prizes, dock-side tours of agency boats, free vessel safety checks, rescue demonstrations and more!

Walking Tour of Hyannis Waterfront

Location: Meet at the flagpole at Aselton Park, Hyannis
Local historian Professor James Gould will lead a historical walk along the Hyannis waterfront of Lewis Bay, featuring ships and shipwrecks, native American leaders, naval skirmish of 1812, Figawi Race and more.
