Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center
Event date: Open Wednesdays-Sundays, starting May 5

Location: Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center, Ed Moffitt Drive in Sandwich
Discover the history of the Canal and how the Corps ensures safe navigation through the waterway.. The Visitor Center also offers interactive displays and films about the Canal’s rich history, fascinating features and vigilant operation.

Centerville Maritime History
Event date: Starting May 4th through December 2010
Location: Centerville Historical Museum, 513 Main Street, Centerville
An exhibition of the maritime history of Centerville. Photographs, logbook from Centerville sea captains, ship models, antique ship artificats and histories of the 30 Centerville sea captains.
Cost: $6 adults, $5 seniors

Excursions on the Catboat "Eventide” out of Hyannis
Event date: Daily, starting on May 21st
Time: Daily 12:15 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
1 1/2 hour excursions through Hyannis Harbor under sail power to Hyannis Port or Pine Cove Wildlife Sanctuary. Well stocked bar and food available.
Cost: $30/adult, $25 senior, $10 Kids.

Historic Sarah sails and charters

Introduction to Boatbuilding
Event date: May 4-27
Location: Cape Cod Maritime Museum, 135 South Street, Hyannis
This is an entry-level 8-day course on boatbuilding, which explores basic lofting, layout and terminology that goes with the construction of a ten-foot skiff. The course begins with each student building a scale model in the same sequence as the construction of a full size skiff. Once the model is completed the class will together construct one full size skiff in the same manner as the models they built individually. Students do not need prior experience with boatbuilding, woodworking or tools to participate in this course, only the desire to explore something different. Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays: 5/4, 5/6, 5/11, 5/13, 5/18, 5/20, 5/25, 5/27. Time: 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
Cost: $150 ($120 members) Equipment needed: All materials will be supplied.

Sea Fever Gear Sail Drive to Benefit the Cape Cod Maritime Museum

Ahoy all you sailors - do not throw away your old sails! The Cape Cod Maritime Museum is teaming up with Sea Fever Gear for a Cape-wide recycling fund raiser. Just drop off your old sails at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum between April 1st and June 13th. Sea Fever Gear will donate money to the museum for every sail brought in and will recycle them. Don’t miss a recycling and design presentation at the Museum from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 7th. Check out the finished sail gear, such as totes, duffels bags, spinnaker jackets and bibs, shower curtains and more, at Sea Fever Gear’s new shop and recycling loft in the Shop Ahoy Plaza, Rt. 28, Chatham.

Waters of Cape Cod Exhibition
