Organizations which Advance Culture and the Arts

Traditionally, Cape Cod has been a haven for artists, writers, historians, musicians, dancers, playwrights, actors, theatrical designers, etc.  Many reside here year-round, others part-time.  The Cape has been enriched culturally by their participation within the community, not only by the display or performance of their own works, but also when they have worked with non-profit organizations to nurture the talents of other developing artists and writers by teaching classes, organizing workshops and establishing and managing funds for grants, fellowships and scholarships.

One example of an organization that supports the arts is the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. Established in 1988, The Arts Foundation is a nonprofit arts and culture umbrella organization, serving individual artists and artisans, fine and performing arts groups and businesses and cultural or historical establishments such as museums.  here are also many other non-profit groups that serve artists and aspiring artists on Cape Cod.
