The vigor of a region’s non-profit sector reveals the character
and strength of the collective heart of the people who live there.
That is, a review of the non-profit organizations in a region shows what the people care about, and how much they care, by the amount of work and funding that they are willing and able to put into those organizations. A look at this sector on Cape Cod shows that non-profit groups contribute significantly to the quality of life here.

There are also nonprofits on Cape Cod that offer business advice and counseling such as Cape Cod SCORE, part of the SCORE Association of Wash., D.C.  Among the valuable resources on Cape Cod are the retirees with their successful careers as business owners and executives for leading corporations. Many are motivated to share their experience by serving as mentors to the local business community and SCORE is a non-profit organization that enables these volunteers to serve small businesses on Cape Cod and the Islands.
