The annual Cape Cod Maritime Festival is a day-long celebration of Cape Cod 's maritime history and culture, and the culmination of Cape Cod Maritime Days.

 

 

The 5th Annual Cape Cod Maritime Festival will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2006 . Highlights of the event, held on the Hyannis waterfront in Aselton Park , include wooden boat displays in and out of the water, boat-building demonstrations, harbor cruises, crafters and artists, musical performers, kids' activities, walking tours, a raw bar and much more! Also this year, Michael Mullaney, owner of capecodflyfishing.com, will be tying traditional Cape Cod style fishing flies as part of the festivities.

Music from: New Bedford Sea Chantey Chorus, Rum Soaked Crooks, East Coast Tremors, Collum Cille Pipes and Drums, Bill Black and Friends.

Special demonstrations by: Nantucket Lifesaving Museum - Beach Rescue Drills. Plimoth Plantation - Mishoon manufacture and Sail making. Reidars Manufacturing - Traditional net repairing. Jerry Ross - Ship in a Bottle. James Nelson - "Benedict Arnold's Navy" book signing.
