Hyannis Maritime History Walk

Location: Meet at the flagpole at Aselton Park, Hyannis
Hyannis maritime historian Jim Gould will lead an easy one-hour walking tour along the busy Lewis Bay waterfront, touching upon such local maritime history as shipbuilding, fisheries, ferry boats and the homes of Hyannis sea captains.

Inflatable whale exhibit: See how big a whale really is!
Time: Noon to 2 p.m.
Location: Cape Cod Mall, Hyannis
Biologists from the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society and the
Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary will display a life-sized (50’) critically
endangered North Atlantic right whale. The whale is inflatable and small groups can
go inside to learn about whales and appreciate their massive size. North Atlantic
right whales are the official state whale of Massachusetts and one of the most
ndangered species on the planet. Whale artifacts will also be displayed.

Open House at Old Harbor Life-saving Station

“Saving Our Ships: The Sea-Paintings of Charles Robert Patterson”
