eCapeChamber.com

The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of business and professional men and women who have joined together for the purpose of promoting the civic and commercial progress of the community.  There are two primary functions of the Chamber:

1.      it acts as spokesman for the business and professional community and translates into action the group thinking of its members and

2.      it renders specific services of a type that can be most effectively delivered by an organization to its members and the community as a whole.

A Board of Directors who are elected by the members leads the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.  The Board of Directors elects a Chairman of the Board who presides over all meetings of the board, along with the Treasurer, Vice Chair, Clerk and other officers and comprises the Chambers Executive Committee.  A Chief Executive Officer leads the Chamber staff in managing the day-to-day operations of the organization.

Objectives of the Chamber:

  1. To promote the economic and social well being of Cape Cod.

  2. To promote a better understanding of the nations private enterprise system.

  3. To coordinate the efforts of commerce, industry and the professions in maintaining and strengthening a sound and healthy business climate on Cape Cod.

  4. To sponsor an aggressive program of work* and stimulate activities that will provide for full development and employment of our human and economic resources.

  5. To provide creative business leadership and effective coordination of all interested parties in solving community problems and in initiating constructive community action.

  6. To create a broad understanding and appreciation of the great opportunities on Cape Cod and to promote the advantages and assets of our region within the state, the country and the world.

The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce is officially recognized by the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT) as one of the thirteen Regional Tourism Councils in the state. We are the official extension of the Massachusetts Office of Business Development on Cape Cod for the State Department of Economic Development. The Chamber is an independent, not-for-profit corporation representing all 15 towns on Cape Cod.
