The Cape Cod
Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of business and
professional men and women who have joined together for the purpose of
promoting the civic and commercial progress of the community.
There are two primary functions of the Chamber:
1.
it acts as spokesman for the business and professional community
and translates into action the group thinking of its members and
2.
it renders specific services of a type that can be most effectively
delivered by an organization to its members and the community as a whole.
A Board of
Directors who are elected by the members leads the Cape Cod Chamber of
Commerce. The Board of
Directors elects a Chairman of the Board who presides over all meetings of
the board, along with the Treasurer, Vice Chair, Clerk and other officers
and comprises the Chambers Executive Committee.
A Chief Executive Officer leads the Chamber staff in managing the
day-to-day operations of the organization.
